A love letter to Niantic

The glimpse of the bay as you come over the hill and approach the bridge or heading down to the intersection at main street it's a magical feeling and It's a relaxing feeling, the water is a calming thing for everyone, it's just human nature. I feel so good coming to Niantic and it makes me happy when I know I'm coming. This week I'm in Niantic from Wednesday-Sunday, in the time leading up to it the excitement was building. Even with the stress of launching Epiccw LLC and putting the finishing touches on epiccw.net just days before launch I feel amazing and it's all because I'm somewhere I love to be. This is the first town I've ever been to that makes me feel this happy. It's hard to put into words really but i'll try to explain

April 2022, the first day. When I first arrived at the apartment it was amazing, I had been to Niantic a few times before but I didn't really remember much. The water was amazing to look at. Seeing trains go by every few minutes was a cool experience and something that was weird to get used to at first but soon became normal. Walking on the boardwalk was a cool experience. It was amazing to have a view of the ocean as I walked along, this was the perfect time to take some amazing photos, nothing better than a sunset over the water.

I love the food Niantic has to offer, so many amazing choices. Want pizza? Family pizza is right there with the Family special, a pizza with bacon, pepperoni, sausage, tomato and cheese, don't forget to add onions and peppers. How about bar food? Black sheep, get a black and blue burger, which is a burger with cajun spices and blue cheese. What about baked goods? Well look no further than Sift. My favorite is a chocolate walnut sea salt cookie, what a combo of flavor. There are so many amazing options for food, I believe I have tried most of the options but the ones I've listed are my favorites. My favorite activity is trivia night. Every Thursday, I try to go as much as possible. I have not won yet but I feel it is coming soon. The game is well done and the bar has a fantastic atmosphere.

April 2024 is the end of coming to this apartment. It's been a great two year run, spending a lot of time here, it feels almost like home away from home. I've spent the last few days here reflecting on the time I've had here and the amazing memories I've made here. The time has just flown by, it's a place I never want to leave, both this apartment and this town. Thursday morning I went for a walk, Red Bull in hand. I put my AirPods in and played the best of George Strait on Apple Music, I walked along feeling quite cold as the wind was blowing and it was only mid forties outside. The walk was enjoyable though, just a few people out, I was really able to soak in the moment, enjoying the waves and the calmness of my surroundings. At the end of the walk I turned around and took one last look at the ocean view before walking back to the apartment.

I will still come here of course to do trivia but, having a place to chill has been amazing. So what is next then? Well my love for this area is strong and I'm looking at setting up the Epiccw LLC physical location here. I have many ideas that include a restaurant element and a recording/content creation location for recording videos and podcasts as epiccw as a brand continues to grow. I of course can't reveal it all here but I got a lot planned for the business and hope that Niantic can be at the heart of that. I genuinely love being here and spending time in this area that it seems only right to want to place my business here. Well it's goodbye for now Niantic but I'll be back and this time Iā€™m bringing the epiccw brand with me!
