Curtis’ October 2024 10 songs
Kiss an Angel Good Mornin’ - Charley Pride. I understand the meaning of this song now, I always liked it before but now it has a deeper meaning to me.
A Thing Called Love - Johnny Cash. This is a important song to me as I experience a thing called love.
The Big One - George Strait. This is another amazing George Strait song but it’s also special specifically to me as it was the song I played before telling my fiancée Emily that I loved her for the first time.
But I Got A Beer In My Hand - Luke Bryan. This is a rare new country song that I really enjoy, it just stands out to me as one I want to keep listening to.
Sunday In The South - Shenandoah, Jason Aldean & Luke Bryan. Being a redone song by Shenandoah from 1989, I enjoy it as its a old song which is just better. I think its got a great representation of the south as well.
Talladega - Eric Church. This song is always a good choice but in April and October when NASCAR is racing at Talladega this song gets a few extra plays. This song now has extra meaning to me as Emily and I listen to it a lot and slow danced to it in the kitchen once.
I Am That Man - Brooks & Dunn. I picked this song back in June and wrote how I wanted to be that man for a woman someday. Now I can say I Am That Man and I had to pick this song again.
Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd. This is a all time classic song and one of my favorite songs to listen to, its just a amazing song and one that never gets old to listen to.
Put A Girl In It - Brooks & Dunn. This Brooks & Dunn song is an all time great one from them. I always loved it but now I can truly understand the message of it and how you really enjoy life more with a Girl in it.
Where the Green Grass Grows - Tim McGraw. This is a song that Emily loves to play whenever we have music on whether it’s in the car or in the house. I couldn’t not pick it.
Bonus 1. Annie’s Song - John Denver. This is a amazing, This is a song that I think of a lot and really enjoy playing for Emily.
Bonus 2. What A Fool Believes - The Doobie Brothers. One of may all time favorite songs, I first liked this song in GTA 5. I picked this song this month as I get to The Doobie Brothers in concert.

Curtis’ September 2024 10 songs
September - Earth, Wind & Fire. Easy pick of a song, it’s a great song in general with a fantastic sound. Perfect pick for September of course.
Rocky Mountain High - John Denver. As stated before John Denver is one of my favorite artists and this is one of his greatest songs. This song really shows the connection people have to nature instead of living in a city.
John Deere Green - Joe Diffie. This song is a classic 90’s country song. A fantastic combination of a love song and a country story featuring John Deere.
Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning) - Alan Jackson. I picked this song as it a great representation of how people felt on and after September 11th 2001. It gives a good insight for people who are not old enough to remember (like me I was 2) or people who were born after that day.
Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American) - Toby Keith. I picked this song as it another great representation of how people felt on 9/11. This song takes another angle showing the unbreakable the American spirit.
Longhaired Redneck - David Allan Coe. This is a great Outlaw Country song, I enjoy that sound and style of country music and wanted to represent it here.
Willie, Waylon And Mama - Alex Key. I love when new country songs use old ones as a theme,“Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" sung by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings is a time classic so using that as a story for this song is amazing.
Cold Beer & Country Music - Zach Top. Another new song that sounds old. This perfectly captures the essence of just needing a cold beer and country song to fix your mood.
Kicked Outta Country - George Strait. This song continues with the trend of talking about the changes in country music. George Strait talks about how he’s been “kicked out of country” like other artists before as the genre switches from traditional country to country-pop and country-rap in the main stream.
Ice Cream - Jeon Somi. This is kinda just a basic pop song but sometimes I like that. Somi is one of my favorite K-Pop artists from when I really was into K-Pop, so her releasing a all english song, I had to check it out
Bonus 1. Jessica - The Allman Brothers Band. This song was the intro song for Top Gear which is my favorite TV show and with September 13th being the final episode of The Grand Tour which is essentially the successor to Top Gear, having the same 3 hosts and same producers it feels like the same show, with it ending I felt like this pick was needed this month

Curtis: Take Me Home County Roads - John Denver
Curtis’ August 2024 10 songs
Sounds Like the Radio - Zach Top. This song is a prefect song to represent what traditional county music can sound like in the modern time of country music, this stands out in a time that a lot of country sounds more like pop.
All American Guy - Chris Janson. This song paints a great picture of what its really all about being a true American guy.
Gone County - Thomas Rhett. This is a great song, telling the story of meeting someone from a city and they fall in love with the country lifestyle.
you look like you love me - Ella Langley & Riley Green. This song gives a more traditional country feel, blending in talking elements to a song, like you would get in old country
County’s Cool Again - Lainey Wilson. This is a great song taking about country being cool and that lifestyle being cool to people again like it once was.
Make America Great Again - Brian Kelly. This is the perfect song to represent how a lot of people feel and it also perfectly represents politics in America at the moment.
Outdated - Alex Key. This is another great traditional country song giving sounds and a throwback vibe to a time that has past, I love the sound of these new songs with the old sound.
My Maria - Brooks & Dunn. One of the most iconic country songs ever, a must have on any country playlist and one of my favorite Brooks and Dunn songs.
Fool Hearted Memory - George Strait. This is another one of George Strait’s amazing songs, This one tells about a Man who has memories of a Woman that he has memories that he thinks she’ll be back for him and will want him back.
Roll Tide Roll - Restless Road. I Love how this song is about a heartbreak yet it includes a element of Alabama references which is key in a good county song.
Bonus 1. Leaving On A Jet Plane - John Denver. Originally called “Babe I Hate to Go” this is a classic song, all time great from John Denver, all thought the most known version is sung by Peter, Paul and Mary. This shows John Denver’s ability to hit songs as well as sing them.
Bonus 2. Leaving On A Jet Plane - Frank Sinatra. Another Version of the same song, this one sung by Frank Sinatra, I didn’t know this version excited until a few weeks ago when I was looking through Apple Music, I really like this version and the way Frank Sinatra sings it.
Bonus 3. Ni**as in Paris - JAY-Z & Kanye West. This is one of the ultimate hype song, this song is played a lot at sporting events to get the crowd hyped. Jay-Z and Kanye would pay it on repeat at concerts when they would perform this song. It’s also a popular meme asking “Who was in Paris?” and recently with the US Mens basketball team in front of the Eiffel Tower for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics
Curtis’ July 2024 10 songs
How Forever Feels - Kenny Chesney. I like this song because its all about wanting to know how forever feels, by being in love with someone forever, thats something that I want and hope to know myself.
Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Ansley. The most iconic meme song of all time, everyone enjoys a good rickroll, it has been a popular meme since 2006 and continues to evolve. The song is really good and is quite catchy as well.
Check Yes Or No - George Strait. I remember hearing this song on the radio when I was younger, it would get played a lot on country radio back then as it had been out for only about 10 years, it was one that always stuck out to me.
Neon Moon - Brooks And Dunn. One the all time classic 90’s country songs, this song is always a great listen and is always towards the top of my apple music replay consistently each year.
Some Days Are Diamonds (Some Days Are Stones) - John Denver. This is one of my top 2 favorite John Denver songs, it has such a great sound and I really like meaning of it.
One Piece At A Time - Johnny Cash This is a song that I remember would play a lot when I would be at my grandparents house and it has a lot of memories of those times. This song is also pretty funny.
Clementine - Young Gravy. I tend to not listen to Rap or Pop county songs, leaning more to more of traditional country songs but this one is really catchy and quite enjoyable
Mask Off - Future. This song has such a good sound to it, plus “Ain’t no way, Ain’t no Fucking way” is a great line to use in certain situations.
Obsessed - Olivia Rodrigo. This is kinda just a basic pop song but sometimes they stand out, this is one of those times that one does for me.
Tennessee Orange - Megan Moroney. This gives a older county love song sound, this is a important thing for me, county songs with that older sound will always be something I enjoy.
Curtis’ June 2024 10 Songs + 10 Edition
For this month's Curtis’ 10 Songs its going to be special because will be launching the first "+ 10 Edition" list. This of course is a extra 10 songs for the month. Think of it as a double album
Chevrolet - Dustin Lynch (Feat. Jelly Roll). A rare new country song to be featured on this list, I randomly herd id on the radio for the 2 minutes I didn’t have Apple Music on in my car, I found it to be a enjoyable song.
MIA Down In MIA - George Strait. The newest George Strait song. Its got a Jimmy Buffett vibe to it, perfect song for summer time.
Life Is Good - Future (Feat. Drake). When Drake and Future release a song together its something special. This is the perfect song for when you have to work on the weekend.
Hillbilly Deluxe - Brooks & Dunn. This is any amazing song, it’s maybe not Brooks & Dunn’s most popular songs but its definitely one of my favorites. I feel like this song gives a good country/redneck vibe that a lot of country songs today are trying to be.
Take Me To Tomorrow - John Denver. This is a John Denver Deep Cut song, its a lesser known song for sure. Its a totally different vibe from his usual more folk music sound.
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin. This is one of the most iconic songs of all time and is considered one of the best ever, what else can I say.
No Friends In The Industry - Drake. I really like this song, its a relatable topic of being close with a few people but most people are not friends. I relate with when it comes to work and to building my brand.
Where The Hood At - DMX. I really enjoy this type of rap song. Really just not caring about anyone who might be hurt by whats being said.
Ocean Front Property - George Strait. This is a song thats a metaphor for love and saying ill be fine without even though its a lie. Selling ocean front property in Arizona is a great saying as well.
Caution - The Killers. This song came out in 2021, my brother played it when we would spend time together in the woods making bike paths. Its connected to a special time.
Where That Came From - Randy Travis. This song shows some of the positives of AI, Randy Travis was able to release a new song with AI, He’s unable to sing anymore do to a stroke, its cool to see him get his voice back through this song.
Big Pimpin’ - Jay-Z (Feat. UGK). This is a essential 2000’s rap song, Its my favorite Jay-Z song as well.
Take Me Home, Country Roads - John Denver. This is John Denver’s most popular song, It is also one of my favorite songs all time!
Pussy & Millions - Drake & 21 Savage (Feat. Travis Scott). I like the vibe of this song. It’s one of the best Drake songs in my opinion. Talking about money and women seems to be common topics that get brought up and this song represents that well.
Any Foolish Thing - Michael McDonald. I enjoy Michael McDonald’s singing, I really liked his songs as part of The Doobie Brothers and this is a solo song that stands out to me by him.
In da Club - 50 Cent. This is a iconic song from 2000’s Rap and stands the test of time as still one of the greatest Rap songs ever.
You Know Me Better Than That - George Strait. This is a great song, it really is a great breakdown of someone being in love with the image and thoughts of how someone is without really understanding them.
Convoy - C.W. McCall. Just like What a Fool Believes by The Doobie Brothers, which was featured last month, this is a song that I have a connection to from playing GTA V and loving it on the in game radio.
34+35 - Ariana Grande. This song is just kinda funny to be honest but its also a enjoyable song with a really good beat.
I Am That Man - Brooks & Dunn. This is a song of love, being that man for a woman who’s trying to find someone of her dreams and will love her like dreams of. I hope someday to be that man for someone.
