A letter for my future wife, Emily

Oh wow. It’s crazy to think what an amazing time I’ve had this year with you. Since we met in August at work at Lowe’s, that magical day when you were the cashier in Lumber, I didn’t want to do anything besides talk to you. Our conversations were amazing all well you were being super silly moving my water bottle all around the area. That day I knew something felt different about our interactions, I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing with you. My face hurt from smiling so much. I knew it was also different when you wanted me to walk with you out of the store that day, I had to leave when you left at 10 and not a few minutes earlier like usual. Fast forward to the next day and you send me a message asking about my YouTube channel, this was crazy, no woman had ever shown interest in my content like that before you were the first! I was so happy to share my channel with you and get to talk about it. Later that week we played Minecraft for the first time, this set up the next 2 weeks of what we would do almost every night. Play Minecraft then just talk on FaceTime until one of us, usually you, would fall asleep.

You had a idea, let’s have lunch break together, so we did. We went to Subway which was a terrible pick but I didn’t matter because I was with you. This started rumors quickly in the store of us dating, I guess you could say we were but we just didn’t know it. A few days later we did lunch again at Panera. At the same time we had planned a first date, I wrote a book in Minecraft asking you out, this just felt right and felt special. It felt like something we would do! Back at our work adventures, a few nights we stayed late, talking in the parking lot until almost 11 PM. We had our first hug which ended when we both got distracted by an airplane. At this point we also decided to “confirm rumors” as we called it and we made our relationship official on August 31st. That next week I told you for the first time that I loved you after playing The Big One by George Strait for you for the first time, I also had to battle a spider that was in your car trying to ruin the moment.

On the first date, we planned a big day. You wanted to drive your car so you came to my house to pick me up. Before the date could begin I had to give you a room tour and show off my NASCAR diecast collection. Once we left you had to go to physical therapy for your knee so our date started by me waiting in the car. Once you were done we went to the bowling alley, I got the win and hit the Steph Curry Night Night move once I won. We were hungry so we went to Chili's to eat. After this we went to Target and you got to meet my friend Wan. We then went to your house, where I met your parents, I was super nervous about going to it but it went well, you grabbed the items you needed for staying over at my house and then grabbed your violin as you had a lesson that night. Once your violin lesson was over we went to my house where you then met my parents. I then introduced you to my love of basketball as we watched the Indiana Fever game that night. After the game we had our first kiss, it was in my room but it was special, I had never kissed anyone before and I was glad you were the first.

That magical September week. You had stayed at my house pretty much every night since that first date, and now we had a week together at my house without my parents, this was a good test to see how well we could live together just doing our own things we were in charge of it all and it was fantastic, we made great meals, stayed up late singing and dancing in the kitchen. At this point we knew we were meant for each other. You had been in some bad relationships, I never was in a relationship at all and this just felt right, we had known at that point we wanted to be together forever. We went to Walmart, picked out a cheap ring and I proposed that day next to a corn field. September 17th will always be a special day, after the proposal we went to the casino and had lunch together, our first time out anywhere being engaged and it was amazing.

The last day of our September week was a trip to Boston. You had tickets to a Bowling for Soup concert so we went, this was way out of my element, big city and music I don’t listen to. It was a cold rainy day and we weren’t prepared. We made a quick stop to buy a hoodie then we walked around, we stopped in a city Target which was an interesting experience. We then looked for food which was impossible, the Red Sox game that day was cancelled so the city was extra packed and the concert was across from Fenway Park so getting food wasn’t happening. We got a snack from a gas station then waited to go inside. Once we were inside and the concert began it was amazing to see you so Into all the band’s performances. We left early as we had been standing all day and were hungry, you got to hear the song you wanted to hear most. On the way back we ordered KFC for delivery.

The next week I took you to your first basketball game, the WNBA playoffs, the Indiana Fever Vs Connecticut Sun. Even though we were at Mohegan Sun we were rooting for Indiana, I was so excited to watch Caitlin Clark play. It was so amazing to see her impact on women's basketball and it was so cool to explain it all to you. Later in the week we went to the Big E on your birthday. It was so fun to just spend the day with you, then come home to the pizza dinner my parents had gotten for you. Soon though you had personal family drama come up, not something to go into details about in a public article. Getting you through that tough time was the focus of October as well as getting you integrated into the Epiccw brand.

November saw you really come into your own with the brand, you launched your own weekly videos and doing content with Jonathan and Wan in our group videos. I'm so proud of you for jumping in and getting going on content, I've done it for almost 13 years so seeing you pick it up so quickly was awesome. Seeing you get along with Jonathan is awesome, it has a great vibe and makes the Podcast one of my favorite videos to do each week. We also had our first thanksgiving together which was such an interesting experience, so different from any thanksgiving I've ever had.

Next up was our Newport trip. It was such a fantastic time, it was definitely windy and cold but it was such an awesome experience to get to vacation together! From walking on the beach, to going to a dinner theater and walking the shops. We were having great meals as well. My favorite time with you was the pool and hot tub time at the very end, just having time together was perfect.

This brings us to now, last weekend was amazing, Pokémon Go with you for December community day was awesome. As was the dog event, getting to see you so excited about the puppy we saw was amazing, someday I'll get you a dog like that. Now I'm looking forward to Christmas with you, and New Years. I'm looking forward to 2025 with you, we have so much planned, Indiana Fever Vs Connecticut Sun game in Boston, and spending a few days there. New Hampshire in September for the NASCAR race, which is your first. In 2025 we might get our own place to live and of course we plan on getting married. Who knows what else amazing 2025 brings but I can't wait to spend it with you Babe! I can't wait to marry you and change your name from Emily Kuzmenko to Emily Witt. You're the most amazing woman in the world, and meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me. Emily I love you so much. I'm so lucky to get to spend forever with you!
